Fé 15
On Sunday evening we travelled to Ballincollig to take on the hosts in our second game in this year’s Division 1 hurling league. On a lovely evening for hurling we played against the slight wind in the first half. We made a quick start putting together a bit of a lead. The inevitable comeback arrived from this very good Ballincollig side as they tore into the game.. We weathered the storm to go in level at halftime with both teams playing well. As the game wore on we seemed to be winning a lot of the battles all around the field and this began to tell on the score board. We scored 3 good goals and were picking off points as well to eventually come out 3-17 to 16pts victors. A great performance by everyone of the lads.

U15 HURLING team
On Saturday afternoon our u15 second team were the hosts to a very strong Blackrock outfit in the u16 Division 5 hurling league. After a pretty poor start we were down by a good few scores early doors. Even though the lads improved from the bad start Blackrock kept scoring heavily to be well ahead at halftime. The second half was more competitive but a stronger more physical Rockies outfit ran out comfortable winners. While the lads may be disappointed in the results so far playing at this level will only improve their own game and will stand to them as they go on.
Panel : Alex Lynch, Ben Fitzgerald, Billy Collins, Cathal Brady, Cathal O’Neill, Cathal Power, Darragh Casey, Dylan McInerney, Fionn Byrne, Harry McCarthy, Hugh Barry, Jack Long, Jamie Ryan O’Mahony, Kian Crowley, Sean Lucid, Tiarnan Galvan, Tom O’Mahony.
The whole group would like to extend our deepest condolences to Robbie, Hugh and all the Barry family on the passing of Tadgh. May he rest in peace.
Fé 11
It has been a busy few weeks for our team. We took on Ballincollig in a hurling blitz. On the 05/4/25 we welcomed Kiltha Og to Park South for a mornings football and on the 12/04/25 we travelled to Dounghamore for a hurling blitz. All the games were very competitive, and we got positive results in the majority of these. We were thrilled with all our players; they battled for every ball and played some great football and hurling.
Fé 8
The Fé 8’s had a brilliant mornings hurling out in st Catherines Last Saturday.
Fé6
The U6s took to the pitch at Clonmult Memorial Park once again last Saturday morning in big numbers. We will be taken a break this coming Saturday morning for Easter and will return again on Saturday April 26th at 10am in Midleton GAA Club where they will have their first gaelic football session.
Happy Easter to all the boys and parents.
Camogie
Under 8’s:
Our U8’s contested in a blitz in Watergrasshill On Saturday, 12th of April. The girls put on a great performance and are improving all the time.
Under 12’s
Captained by Líadain this morning our U12’s hosted Newtownshandrum in our second game in Phase 1. Unfortunately it wasn’t our day with Newtownshadrum proving to be just too strong on this occasion. Well done to all the girls for their efforts and for being so gracious in defeat.
Under 13’s:
Our U13’s played their second challenge match of the year V Fr. O’Neill’s in Aghavine on Sunday 13th of April. Despite Fr. O’Neill’s being low in numbers they were a strong team and our girls had to battle hard to match their speed and get to the ball first, but our girls in their usual persistent style fought hard to come away with a good result. Well done girls,, a great challenging game to prepare them for the upcoming Imokilly Lague which begins in the coming week.
Féile:
Our U15’s did very well in Féile last Saturday, 12th of April in Glen Rovers, overcoming the group stages to get into the Quarter finals. The girls battled hard in a fierce contest in Castle Road however came up short on the day. Well done to each girl, mentor and coaches for getting through to the quarter final stages, a fantastic achievement.
Our second team came through the group stage and have reached a semi-final on Thursday 17th of April at 6 p.m. at Castle Road. Please come out to support the girls and best of luck.
Minor’s:
Our minors had a great start in the League with two home wins from two. The next two games will be away and will really test the girls. Best of luck.
Ladies Football
It was a busy few days for our teams. Our Intermediate Ladies had a great win at home on Sunday last against Nemo in a must win game. Final score Midleton 5-6 Nemo 0-11.
Our U16s faced Watergrashill in their second league game. Having won their opening game they were hoping for 2 out of 2. A very entertaining game saw us lose out in the last minute when WGH got a late goal. Well doenthough=n a great effort by you all. Final score Midleton 1-06 WGH 2-05 .Best of luck to the girls on the panel who will take part in the Football Féile on Easter Monday.
On Tuesday evening our Junior Ladies were in action in Park South against Inch Rovers. Another great game by this group of ladies. It was only fine margins on the day but the effort and commitment can not be faulted. Final score Midleton 0-11 Inch 2-11.
