Our Club Supporters Wall Fundraiser

The uptake to-date has been extremely positive from our existing members, past players and officers, members of the community near and far, and we are blown away by the amount of 1st or 2nd generation sons / daughters / nephews / nieces and grandchildren of past Youghal GAA players or officers that have taken this opportunity to remember their loved ones.

Your support is very welcome and so much appreciated as this as all monies raised help secure and develop the club's future.

You can buy a brick online via www.youghalgaa.ie, by contacting Vincent Murray or via any of the club officers.

U21B Football Quarter Final report

Our thanks to Alan Hennessy

Eochaill 3-7 Glenbower Rovers 3-8

A narrow defeat for Youghal in the first game of the new season at a cold but well prepared Club Áras on Sunday.

Youghal hosted near neighbours Glenbower Rovers under the new football rules. Conor Galvin got the first point for Youghal.

Noah Hegarty in the Youghal goal made some great saves in the first ten mins to keep Glenbower at bay before they got their 1st goal.

They increased their lead to 2-3/0-2 with our 2nd point coming from Jamie Lenane. Youghal woke up and began to play, and goals from Luke Lenane and a peach of a goal from Liam Durkin had us level on the way to half time. Points from Conor Galvin and Jamie Lenane had Youghal ahead by 2-6/2-4 at the half time whistle.

The 2nd half began with Glenbower on top again but failing to take their chances whilst Youghal were also struggling to get into the Glenbower half. 15 mins into the second half Glenbower had levelled the game with Youghal still to score. They extended their lead with a goal and a point to open up a four point lead with time running out. Sub Cal Cashman reduced the lead with a goal for Youghal and despite the best efforts to level the game and bring it to extra time, Glenbower held on for a deserved win.
