Glenville Notes (30th Jan)
Dads and Lads Blitz
The club held another successful Dads and Lads Blitz on Saturday morning, in the process raising money for Penny Dinners.
Aghada, Fermoy, Laochra Aeracha and ourselves took part.
The matches were highly entertaining for the watching supporters and played in a wonderful sporting atmosphere. Each team played three matches with Glenville and Aghada progressing to the final. Aghada edged out a seven-goal thriller by a single goal. Playing an extra match in the final may have been a booby prize for all the aching limbs!
Many thanks to Aghada, Fermoy and Laocha Aeracha for participating in the blitz. It was great to meet up with such tremendous ambassadors for their respective clubs.
We are looking forward to hosting a similar event in the New Year.
Joan McHugh RIP
It is with profound sadness that the club learned of the passing of Joan McHugh(nee Fitzgerald)
All in Glenville GAA wish to extend their deepest condolences to the McHugh and Fitzgerald family, in particular her children Padraig, Jerry and Liz.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh sí.
