Midleton Notes (21st Dec)
Facilities Update
In Park South the sand-based pitch is now fully fenced and dugouts in place. Grass growth will be monitored with additional seeding, fertiliser and sand in the Spring.
The 3G pitch platform is fenced, the final layer of finer stone will be spread in early January ahead of shock pad and grass carpet laying. We are still on track for March opening of 3G pitch.
Both the 350 lux & 500 lux lighting systems are on site. The bases have been completed and McSherry's plan to install poles and lamps in mid-January. The commissioning of both systems is planned for completion ahead of 3G pitch opening.
All pitches remain closed until further notice.
A big thank you to all the teams, managers, selectors and officers of the various sectors for their cooperation and support throughout the year.
Wishing everyone a Happy Christmas and a Healthy New Year.
