AGM Saturday Evening

We are holding our AGM on Saturday 23rd November at 7.30pm in the Community Centre. All members are encouraged to attend.

Big Crowd for East Cork GAA Book Launch

A large crowd of guests gathered in Garryvow hotel last Saturday evening to welcome President of the GAA, Jarlath Burns to East Cork for the launch of the publication of a history of the GAA in East Cork to mark the centenary of the East Cork board. Clubs from across the division sent members to celebrate the occasion. A great night was had by all where many old enemies/friends on the playing field met. The book itself was painstakingly compiled by our own Kieran McGann and it is an excellent history of the many successes that East Cork teams have had over the last few years.

Contribution Scheme Key to Success

We are currently in year 3 of the very successful Contribution scheme. As you know the Contribution scheme has been vital to the success of the new developments. The new stand is now almost finished. This was done mostly by voluntary labour reducing the cost by more than half. We have also put in steps from the new car park to the bottom pitch. We will be putting tarmac on the roadway between the ball alley and the new car park which will fill al the pot holes. We are hoping to start the Astro Turf pitch sometime next year depending on funding. For people paying into the contribution scheme on a yearly basis year 3 contribution would be due now. We would like to thank everyone for their support so far and look forward to your continued support. Thanks.
