Seniors Take on Fermoy
Excitement and anticipation is now building for the first round of this year's Senior A hurling Championship against Fermoy this Friday. Preparations have been going well over the last few months. The management team of Noel Furlong, John Healy, Mike Spillane and Brendan Hoare have left no stone unturned in getting the team ready. Recent challenge games against Ballincollig and Russell Rovers have been great work outs that have fine tuned this well oiled Castlelyons team. Players are starting to get clear of injuries and we are hopeful for a near clean bill of health. This game is the first of a triumvirate of local derbies, with battles against Bride Rovers and Cloyne yet to come. A huge amount of work has gone in by all the players since the All-Ireland Final loss to Thomastown. These lads have been on the go non-stop for over 18 months and have grown accustomed to winning big games. We have all the faith in the world they can make a real dent in the Senior A championship in 2024. See you all in Rathcormac this Friday. Castlelyons Abú!!
