East Cork GAA Administration Regulations
- The affairs of the GAA within the Division shall be governed by the Official Guide and the Cork County Board
- The Divisional Board shall consist of the Officers appointed at the AGM and one representative from each Affiliated Club.
- An Executive Committee shall be appointed annually consisting of Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Treasurer, P.R.O., Development Officer, Cultural Officer and Secretary, together with four Board Members to be elected by East Cork Board.
- The four Board Members elected to the Executive of the East Cork Board may not serve for more than five consecutive years. These four members remain in the role until the first meeting of the Board each year.
- The Executive Committee shall deal with all matters of finance, making fixtures, the appointment of Referees (in conjunction with a Referee's Administrator), with all such cases of Objections and Appeals as may be referred to it by the Divisional Committee for investigation, and will also function as the Divisional Competitions Control Committee. Appointment of Referees shall rest entirely with the Executive and the Referee's Administrator.
- The Executive has plenary powers to meet and decide on all urgent matters between meetings.
- All members of the Board, i.e., Officers, members of the Executive and club Delegates along with each affiliated club gets one vote for the Elections of Officers ahead of the AGM. Honorary roles i.e., President and Vice Presidents do not get a vote.
- A member may not serve for more than five consecutive years as Chairperson, and having served such a term, shall be ineligible for a period of one year to contest an election for the offices of Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Public Relations Officer, Treasurer, Cultural Officer, Development Officer or as one of the four delegates elected to the Executive.
- An officer may not serve for more than two consecutive five-year terms in two different officerships. When an officer has ten years served, they shall be ineligible for a period of one year to contest an election for the offices of Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Public Relations Officer, Treasurer, Cultural Officer, Development Officer or as one of the four delegates elected to the Executive, excluding when a Vice Chairperson may wish to contest election for Chairperson.
- That the President of Bórd Roinn Oirthear Chorcaí be appointed for a three-year term, with the Vice-President who has served the longest period in that role to be offered the role thereafter.
- The Runaí shall automatically be a delegate to the County Board if they so wish. The Executive will decide an alternative if necessary.
- Motions for East Cork AGM shall be submitted before a date specified by East Cork Board. A sub-committee, appointed by East Cork Board, shall decide whether or not these motions are in order. A Motion deemed out of order shall be returned to the Club which submitted it, giving the reason. A further week shall be allowed to enable the Club to resubmit an amended Motion.
- The holders of Perpetual Trophies, the property of the Divisional Board shall be returned to the Board's before the beginning of the Championship each year. The cup should be returned with engraving and in good condition.
- Referee's Assessors shall be appointed by the Board.
- Permission for a Club to record a game on video or any other means of recording may be granted on the following basis:
(a) That an application is made in writing and be authorised by the Committee-in-Charge.
(b) That recording may only be used for coaching or training purposes.
(c) That the Club seeking permission to record the game, or its agent hired for the purposes of same, shall make a full, unedited copy of the game available to the Committee-in Charge, on request.
